The minister for Slovenians Abroad, Ljudmila Novak will visit the Slovenian minority living in Hungary. She will be briefed on the current status of the Slovenian community there.

 

 

FRIDAY, 23 NOVEMBER 2012

The minister for Slovenians Abroad, Ljudmila Novak will on Friday, 23 November, start her eleven-day visit to the United States of America. She will meet Slovenians living in Cleveland, Chicago, New York and Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania, and will also visit Slovenians in Milwaukee and Minneapolis in Minnesota. The purpose of the visit is to inform the Slovenian government about the problems that the Slovenian community faces in the USA and to encourage the local institutions to connect and cooperate with the experts of Slovenian origin that are a part of the community.

 

During her visit the minister Novak will give special attention to the opening of the office PoliMaT Centre of Excellence in Akron in Ohio. This office is expected to become the newly established Slovenian-American business association centre.
