Pahor's "Il figlio di Nessuno – Nobody’s child” also in Milan
Slovenian writer Boris Pahor presented his last book "Il figlio di Nessuno – Nobody’s child” in Milan, Italy on Tuesday, 8th of May 2012. The event was organized by the Association of Slovenians in Milan and the Honorary Consul General Mr. Gianvico Camisasca. Mrs. Ljudmila Novak, the Minister for Slovenians Abroad also attended the event and warmly welcomed the guests.
"Il figlio di Nessuno – Nobody’s child” is autobiographical work written by Boris Pahor and his co writer Cristina Battoceletti, the journalist at the newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore. In the book the author talks about themes for which he considers that the new generations should not forget, but should learn from. Pahor describes his memories of the concentration camps, fascism and the killing in fojbe, while he focuses also on his private life and love.
In the spirit of celebrating the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Republic of Italy and the Republic of Slovenia and the fact that Slovenia is hosting the great cultural event "Maribor - European Capital of Culture 2012", on this occasion the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia in Italy Iztok Mirošič handed the writer Boris Pahor recognition of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Following the event, minister Novak met and talked with representatives of the Association of Slovenians in Milan, Italy.
